Seppeltsfield Cellar No. 6 Rutherglen Tokay $20
Rutherglen and Tokay go hand in hand and this example offers rich toffee and honey aromas on the nose that carry through to the lusciously sweet, rich, flavoursome palate while the naturally fresh acidity cleans up the long, unctuous finish. Tokay ? although as it is now to be known henceforth as Topaque ? is produced in the same manner as Muscat, yet is not as dark in colour as it is made from the white Muscadelle grape. Once again, Christmas cake or pudding would be an ideal accompaniment at this time of year, but Tokay is also extremely good with chocolate too!
Seppeltsfield Cellar No. 8 Rutherglen Muscat $20
Muscat is mainly made from the brown Muscat variety or Muscat au petit grains rouge to give it its correct name. It?s fermented, then fortified with brandy spirit, then aged in old oak barrels which results in the evaporation of the moisture content of the wine leaving behind a rich, dark syrupy liquid we know as liqueur Muscat ? fantastic served with Christmas pudding! A good example to try would be this ripper from Seppeltsfield ? super rich and raisiny, with good length.

A lighter, fresher, more modern style of Port ? or Tawny, as its named these days ? that has lovely rich fruit notes and good length of flavour on the finish. Sourced from some of South Australia?s premier wine growing regions this is a bargain for the price? try it with a mince tart or two (or any tart for that matter).
