I've been texting this guy back and fourth for about three weeks now. He always texts me in the morning and we'll maybe exchange about 15 texts a day (if that). He's in the Navy and I totally accept that his days are pretty hectic. On Saturday night I made the silly mistake of drunk dialling/texting him but (fortunately) his phone was switched off. In the morning, I totally panicked when I remembered the previous nights events but decided it would be best to wait and see if he text me. Eventually he text me asking how I was doing and explained that his phone was out of charge otherwise he'd have answered my calls/texts. He asked where I went the night before and we continued with a normal chat.
Oh, I've forgot to mention that from about week 1 we've arranged to meet up this Friday as he hadn't had a free weekend previously and he's doing a course in England this week so this Friday was the first time he's available.
Anyway, back to the question. On Sunday he told me he was driving down to England that night so I knew he wouldn't text me much. I received a text at lunch time on Monday asking how I was doing, if I had much planned for the day and he told me that he hadn't had any sleep due to the long drive. I replied and he's yet to text back - it's now after 11pm on Tuesday night.
I don't know how I should react to this? I don't want to seem as though I don't have anything better to do than worry about him texting me but at the same time I don't want him to think I have lost interest. Plus, I keep wondering if he even got my text because it's unusual for him to have not text me back. Unless he's lost interest? I know that he'll be super busy, too, so I'm really not sure how best to react! Anyone have any suggestions? I hate playing games!
It's just weird, also, because he's made a point of saying to me a few times that I "better keep in touch when he's away" so I'm confused as to why he's the one not keeping in touch.
