?The Informed Choice Coalition (ICC) of Ottawa?presents the local premi?re of??The Face of Birth,??a powerful Australian movie about respecting and protecting a woman's right to choose how, where and with whom she gives birth. A must-see for all parents, and anyone intending to give birth, this feature-length movie about pregnancy, childbirth and the power of choice will change the way you view childbirth. The film kicks off ?Choice: A Birth and Baby Film Festival.?
Screenings will take place at 7 pm at Saint Paul?University starting on Friday March 22nd. A?panel discussion?featuring community stakeholders such as doctors, midwives, doulas, peer helpers and consumers will follow, inviting public participation and fostering dialogue that supports?progressive change on a local level.
Completely volunteer-run, proceeds from??Choice: A Birth and Baby Film Festival??will go to support local birth and breastfeeding groups.
Tickets are $15 cash at the door. Festival Passports can be purchased for $40.?
